The Dental Reception Specialist plays a crucial role in creating a positive first impression and ensuring smooth administrative operations in a dental practice. Key Responsibilities:
- Front Desk Management:
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Answer phone calls and handle patient inquiries or route them to the appropriate staff members.
- Manage patient check-ins, check-outs, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Appointment Scheduling:
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments while maximizing the use of the practice’s schedule.
- Send appointment reminders via phone, email, or text and follow up on missed or cancelled appointments.
- Patient Records and Data Management:
- Maintain accurate patient records in the dental practice management software.
- Input patient information, update insurance details, and ensure accurate data entry for future visits.
- Insurance Coordination:
- Verify patient insurance coverage, submit claims, and follow up with insurance companies on claims status.
- Assist patients with questions about their insurance benefits and explain payment options.
- Billing and Payments:
- Process patient payments and generate receipts for services rendered.
- Assist in generating and sending out billing statements and collection of overdue balances.
- Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns and helping them understand their dental treatments.
- Ensure a clean and welcoming reception area and offer refreshments as needed.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Coordinate communication between the dental team and patients regarding treatment plans, post-treatment care, and follow-ups.
- Relay messages to the clinical team accurately and in a timely manner.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Manage office supplies, mail, and other administrative duties as needed.
- Assist with marketing efforts, such as sending out newsletters or appointment reminders.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a dental office or medical setting preferred.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Eaglesoft preferred but not required
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on customer service.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.

- Monday to Friday

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
