Position Overview:
The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for:
- Providing basic care and ensuring the safety and security of patients
- Making trained observations and reporting to the mental health team or designated staff members
- Attending and participating in group therapy sessions
- Admitting, transferring, and discharging patients as assigned
- Performing basic triage duties as needed
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred
- Experience: 1-3 years of relevant healthcare or behavioral health experience preferred
- Skills:
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
- Strong observational skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
