Duties
- Develop comprehensive plumbing estimates by analyzing blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings using construction estimating software such as ProCore.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to review project scopes, specifications, and contracts to ensure accurate bid proposals.
- Oversee construction site activities to ensure adherence to safety standards, quality control measures, and project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately to identify material requirements and installation procedures for plumbing systems.
- Prepare detailed proposals including cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Coordinate procurement of materials using construction management software while maintaining strict time management to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor project progress regularly, adjusting schedules as needed while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress, resolve issues promptly, and verify work quality against plans and specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on plumbing systems; familiarity with heavy civil or commercial projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing installations.
- Hands-on construction site experience demonstrating an understanding of construction processes and safety protocols.
- Ability to read contracts thoroughly and interpret technical documents accurately.
- Excellent project management skills including scheduling, resource planning, and time management.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
