In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of home appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and more. Your technical skills and customer service mindset will ensure each job is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position offers the opportunity to work independently in the field, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and deliver exceptional service that leaves customers satisfied and confident in their appliances.
Duties
- Install new appliances according to manufacturer specifications and schematics, ensuring proper electrical, plumbing, and mechanical connections.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliance malfunctions using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and ladder logic to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct routine maintenance on appliances to extend their lifespan and optimize performance.
- Operate company vehicles safely while transporting tools and appliances to customer locations.
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair processes, maintenance tips, and safety precautions.
- Complete detailed service reports, work orders, and documentation of repairs performed.
Requirements
- Proven experience with appliance repair, installation, or field service roles; service technician experience is highly valued.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to appliance systems.
- Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams, and ladder logic for troubleshooting purposes.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, plumbing components, and electrical work.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems and HVAC principles is a plus.
- Experience operating equipment such as ladders and other mechanical devices safely.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude in all interactions.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles; clean driving record preferred.
- Knowledge of maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), assembly processes, and equipment repair techniques.
