Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and troubleshooting on HVAC systems, including boilers, air conditioning units, and building automation systems.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on mechanical systems such as pumps, fans, compressors, and electrical components using hand tools and specialized equipment.
- Install new HVAC equipment following schematics, HVAC design plans, and building codes to ensure proper operation and compliance.
- Utilize electrical diagnostics tools like ohmmeters to identify faults within electrical systems and execute precise repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, including photographs, inspection reports, repair logs, and system performance documentation.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their needs, explain repair options clearly, and deliver outstanding customer service throughout every interaction.
- Support property maintenance tasks as needed, including plumbing work and appliance repairs related to HVAC systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance.
- Construction experience or familiarity with building schematics is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) systems is essential.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Skilled in electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, welding, and mechanical systems repair.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in ammonia refrigeration or boiler operation are a plus.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and field service technology.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver preferred.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
