Responsibilities
- Support regulatory planning, permitting, and compliance activities for upstream operations
- Assist in integrating environmental and regulatory requirements into operational and project planning processes
- Prepare, submit, and track routine regulatory filings, notifications, and compliance reports
- Maintain regulatory tracking systems, databases, and document management repositories
- Ensure regulatory documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready at all times
- Coordinate data collection and assist in analysis of regulatory and compliance metrics
- Support compliance with federal, state, tribal, and local regulatory requirements
- Assist regulatory and compliance teams in managing permitting workflows and deliverables
- Monitor status of permits, approvals, and regulatory submissions to ensure timely completion
- Support internal environmental and regulatory compliance assurance processes
- Participate in routine coordination activities with internal stakeholders to align compliance requirements with operations
- Assist in identifying gaps or issues in regulatory documentation and tracking systems
- Approximately 3 years of experience in regulatory, permitting, compliance, or environmental support roles within oil and gas or related industries
- Familiarity with upstream oil and gas operations and associated regulatory frameworks
- Experience preparing, tracking, and managing regulatory filings and compliance documentation
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tracking systems and deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, audit-ready records
- Basic understanding of environmental and regulatory compliance requirements
- Ability to interpret and follow established procedures and workflows
- Strong data management and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively within structured regulatory processes
- Strong communication skills for coordination with internal teams and stakeholders
- Ability to make decisions within defined parameters and escalate when needed
- Capable of acting as a supporting resource to less experienced team members
- Proficiency with databases, tracking tools, and document management systems
