We are seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician in Midland Texas 79706 with $30/hour pay for a 12-month temp contract role. You will play a key role in supporting the production of our specialized non-metallic piping products. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electronic equipment while collaborating with a team to ensure the highest quality standards and seamless production. Requires High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of industrial electrical/electronic repair experience with strong mechanical abilities and experience with PLC, HMI, VFD, Controls Electronics or CNC controls
Schedule: 2nd Shift, 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Dress Code: Standard industrial/worksite attire; PPE required as applicable
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair equipment used in the production of poly pipe
- Provide support for the installation, upgrade, maintenance and inspection of control systems with projects to deliver enhancements to systems to improve performance and reliability
- Undertake emergency troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment to determine fault and provide resolution
- Prepare reports on machine faults and errors to identify and create maintenance schedule
- Work individually and collaboratively to reduce machine outages and stoppages
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of industrial electrical/electronic repair experience.
- Have strong mechanical abilities
- Experience with PLC, HMI, VFD, Controls Electronics or CNC controls
- Demonstrate strong experience with automations in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Have the ability to disassemble equipment, diagnose problems and reassemble in a safe and proficient manner
- Show experience with predictive maintenance management concepts and the ability to use advanced devices to perform diagnosis
- Be able to translate complex technical information in an easy to understand manner to assist with decision making
