Area Sales Manager

Fully integrated with major industry project management ecosystems, our platform gives General Contractors and enterprise developers ground-truth visibility into site labor, productivity, and safety compliance at any given second.
As an Area Sales Manager, you will spearhead new business development and market penetration across your designated regional territory. Combining an entrepreneurial hunter mindset with the stability and scale of an established enterprise platform, you will own the entire sales cycle—from greenfield prospecting and live software demonstrations to C-suite contract negotiation and project handoff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Territory Strategy & Greenfield Hunting: Develop and execute a regional go-to-market strategy to drive net-new logo acquisition across General Contractors, commercial developers, and specialized trade subcontractors.
- Full-Cycle Consultative Selling: Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles (~3-month average length) from initial outreach through live software walkthroughs, preconstruction scope definition, contract execution, and site deployment.
- Pipeline & Revenue Execution: Carry individual responsibility for achieving 7-figure annual revenue targets ($1M–$5M production), utilizing consultative SPIN Selling and Value-Based Selling methodologies.
- Cross-Stakeholder Engagement: Build trusted advisor relationships across all buyer levels—from jobsite Superintendents and Project Managers to VPs of Operations, Chief Safety Officers, and C-Suite Executives.
- Solution Demonstrations: Deliver live, interactive virtual and in-person software demonstrations showcasing platform capability, automated labor tracking, and real-time risk mitigation.
- Account Expansion & Pipeline Management: Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene in Salesforce; manage account performance, conduct annual renewals, and identify cross-sell/upsell opportunities for hardware, security, and workforce software modules.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS & MUST-HAVES
- Direct Quota-Carrying Experience: 5 years of direct, quota-carrying B2B enterprise sales experience with a proven track record as an individual contributor winning net-new business.
- Domain Expertise: Demonstrated success selling in at least one of the following sectors:
- Commercial Construction Sales
- B2B SaaS / Enterprise Technology Platforms
- Construction Management & Productivity Software
- Data Center, Physical Security, Access Control, or Industrial Infrastructure Solutions
- Industry & Vertical Background: Experience selling site-level technology or software solutions into General Contractors, commercial property developers, or major trade subcontractors.
- Sales Methodology: Proficient in formal SPIN Selling or Value-Based Selling frameworks; proven ability to articulate financial ROI, labor cost reduction, and risk mitigation.
- Live Demo Mastery: Proven capability to independently conduct live software platform walk-throughs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Operational Tech Stack: Daily proficiency using Salesforce CRM, BuildCentral, ZoomInfo, and MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Logistics, Travel & Residency: Must currently reside within one of the designated state footprints for your targeted region and be willing/able to commit to ~50% regional field travel:
- Pacific: California, Oregon, Washington
- Mountain West: Utah, Montana, Idaho, Nevada
- Plains (I-35 Corridor): South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri
- Upper Midwest: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois

- Total Compensation & Benefits: 85K – 110K 5%–7% uncapped monthly commission ($175,000 – $275,000 First-Year OTE), Full T&E expense reimbursement (corporate Concur account, mileage, travel), and an excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and paid time off.
