This position offers on-call coverage, requiring readiness to respond promptly to emergency situations and lead restoration projects from start to finish.
Duties
- Lead and coordinate restoration projects involving water damage, fire damage, mold remediation, flood recovery, and asbestos abatement.
- Perform emergency response activities swiftly and efficiently, including initial assessments and securing the site for safety.
- Operate a variety of power tools, hand tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and company vehicles to complete restoration tasks.
- Conduct thorough cleaning, debris removal, and detailed restoration work adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
- Utilize Xactimate software for accurate damage assessment estimates and documentation.
- Apply personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection during hazardous material handling or mold abatement procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols including respiratory protection use, PPE guidelines, and OSHA standards throughout all operations.
- Communicate clearly with clients to explain procedures, timelines, and safety measures while providing exceptional customer service.
- Manage on-call coverage responsibilities to respond promptly to emergency calls outside regular working hours.
Skills
- Proven experience in the restoration industry with knowledge of water damage restoration, fire restoration, mold remediation, and flood recovery techniques.
- Strong construction experience with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with Xactimate estimating software for damage assessment and project planning.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients under stressful circumstances.
- Ability to operate company vehicles responsibly while following safety guidelines.
- Knowledge of safety protocols including asbestos abatement procedures, respiratory protection practices, and proper PPE use.
- Experience in handling specialized tasks such as carpet cleaning and asbestos abatement is a plus.
- On-call availability for emergency response situations at any time of day or night.
