Position Summary
Right Way Construction is seeking a highly skilled and accountable Crew Lead to manage daily field operations on residential remodeling and new construction projects.
This position is responsible for leading crew members, maintaining production schedules, ensuring quality workmanship, enforcing safety standards, and representing our company professionally on job sites.
The ideal candidate is not just a skilled tradesman — they are a leader who takes ownership of projects and holds the crew to a high standard.
Core Responsibilities- Field Leadership
- Lead a crew of 2–3 team members on residential projects
- Assign daily tasks and manage workflow efficiently
- Maintain production pace to meet schedule targets
- Train and mentor junior crew members
- Work alongside crew
Project Execution
- Read and interpret plans, specs, and scope of work
- Ensure work meets building codes and inspection standards
- Identify and solve jobsite issues before they escalate
- Work with Customer Service Rep to:
- Coordinate with subcontractors (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, roofing)
- Verify materials and deliveries match scope
Schedule & Accountability
- Keep projects on timeline
- Communicate daily progress updates to Project Manager/Owner
- Anticipate material needs ahead of time
- Maintain organized and clean job sites
Quality Control
- Maintain high craftsmanship standards
- Ensure framing, finish work, and structural components are properly installed
- Catch mistakes early and correct them
- Conduct final walkthrough before calling for inspection
Safety & Professionalism
- Enforce OSHA safety standards
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct
- Communicate respectfully with homeowners
- Protect client property during construction
Required Skills & Experience
- 3 years residential construction experience
- Strong framing, remodeling, and structural knowledge
- Ability to read blueprints and plan
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor daily
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of 2018 IRC building code
- Experience with LVLs, structural beam installs, decks, additions
- Basic understanding of permits and inspections (Blount County / Maryville area)
- Ability to operate equipment (skid steer, mini-excavator, etc.)
- Basic technology skills (text, job photos, time tracking apps)

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
