PRIMARY LOCATION: Baltimore, Maryland
WORK SCHEDULE: Part -Time
SUMMARYOF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Growing practice seeking a high character and immensely qualified substance abuse professional to provide frontline care to consumers battling addiction. This position is accountable for assisting consumers in the development and maintenance of healthy lifestyles and recovery management skills. This position requires a thorough understanding of the programs mission, exemplary demonstration of treatment provision, basic knowledge of substance abuse interventional essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide individual and group counseling to individuals with substance use disorders
- Utilizing evidence-based addiction counseling approaches to clients experiencing dysfunction as a direct or indirect result of addiction, chemical dependency, abuse of chemical substances or related disorders
- Provide assessment, diagnostic impressions, intervention and prevention, relapse prevention support, and referrals as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
- At minimum, counselors must have approved addiction trainee status (ADT), CSC-AD, CAD-AD licensure through the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists.

- Excellent documentation skills
REQUIREDCERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
- Alcohol and Drug Trainee - ADT (with a minimum of 2 years experience)
- Certified Supervised Counselor – Alcohol and Drug (CSC-AD)
- Certified Associate Counselor – Alcohol and Drug (CAC-AD)
- Licensed Graduate Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LGADC)
- Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC)
ADDITIONAL SKILLS DESIRED:
- Experience with Electronic Health Records
- Displays cultural sensitivity and demonstrates the ability to form constructive and collaborative working relationships with others from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Ability to communicate in a culturally inclusive manner and being open to other people’s differences
