We are expanding and looking for certified instructors. If you are not currently certified but fit our mission and values, we can train and certify you as an SC Driving Instructor.
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated Driving Instructor to inspire new drivers, promote safe driving habits, and help students achieve their licensing goals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on learners’ lives while fostering a culture of safety, confidence, and independence. As a Driving Instructor, you will lead engaging lessons, provide expert guidance, and ensure students develop the essential skills needed for responsible driving.
Responsibilities
- Conduct driving lessons with students of various skill levels in a safe and supportive environment
- Teach classroom sessions
- Assess each student’s progress and tailor instruction to meet individual learning needs
- Explain traffic laws, road safety rules, and vehicle operation procedures clearly and effectively
- Prepare students for their driving tests by practicing maneuvers and test scenarios (and conduct driving tests)
- Maintain accurate records of lessons, student progress, and assessments in compliance with licensing standards
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their driving skills and build confidence
- Ensure all vehicles used for instruction are well-maintained, clean, and meet safety standards
Basic Requirements
- Valid SC driver’s license (or willingness to transfer)
- 5 years of licensed driving experience with no suspensions or revocation of driving privileges
- Clean driving record for the past 3 years
- Pass nationwide criminal background check
- Reliable transportation
- Afternoon and weekend availability
- Clean, professional appearance

- Not easily frustrated or reactive
- Professional but approachable
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week

Experience:
- licensed driving: 5 years (Required)
