Responsibilities and Duties

Job Functions:

· Designs and develops traffic control plans using AutoCAD 2026

· Utilizes available resources including aerial imagery, as-builts, field notes, and survey and GIS data to produce accurate base maps

· Analyzes and interprets parcel maps, underground utility drawings, and construction plans and specs to determine scope of relevant work and impacts to motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians

· Uses project analysis and interaction with customers and municipalities to develop safe and accurate plans

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate:

· Must have a minimum of two years of full-time, direct experience in traffic control plan development in the State of California using AutoCAD

· Must demonstrate a commensurate knowledge of CA MUTCD and WATCH Manual standards

· Must provide access to a small portfolio of recently completed work

· Must be willing to perform a basic skills assessment using AutoCAD 2026

· Bonus for candidates having relevant certifications through Autodesk, IMSA and/or ATSSA or direct experience in traffic signal design
