Equine stable hand

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Stable Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our stable, ensuring the well-being of our animals and the maintenance of the facility. This position requires a strong commitment to animal care, steady work pace, attention to detail , as well as mechanical knowledge for equipment operation.

Schedule- satuday, Sunday and Monday

Hours approx 7:30-12:30

3.5-5 hours day depending on work pace

Duties

• Maintain cleanliness of stables and surrounding areas, including mucking out stalls and disposing of waste.
• Operate heavy equipment and power tools for various tasks related to stable maintenance.
• Assist in the irrigation of pastures and fields as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment used within the stable.
• Monitor animal health and report any concerns to management promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in animal handling is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
• Lifting 40-50lbs on regular basis
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus, with experience using hand tools and power tools effectively.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• A passion for working with animals and a commitment to their welfare.
• Physical stamina is required as this role involves manual labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Pay: $140.00 - $175.00 per week
