Right Hand Home NWA is looking for a dependable, hardworking Carpenter / General Laborer to join our growing remodeling team in Northwest Arkansas.
We’re looking for a carpenter-focused, jack-of-all-trades type of person who is comfortable working with their hands and handling a variety of residential remodeling and construction tasks. The ideal candidate has basic to intermediate carpentry skills, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is willing to learn and take on whatever the project requires.
This is a hands-on position working on residential remodeling and construction projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, decks, fences, outdoor living spaces, roofing, and general home improvements.
Responsibilities
- Assist with residential remodeling and construction projects
- Perform basic to intermediate carpentry work, including measuring, cutting, framing, and installation
- Assist with kitchen and bathroom remodeling
- Build and install trim, doors, cabinets, framing, and other finish materials
- Assist with deck, fence, patio, and outdoor living projects
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Assist with demolition, material preparation, loading and unloading, and jobsite cleanup
- Perform finish work such as trim, caulking, sealing, and touch-ups
- Assist with roofing, siding, and other exterior construction tasks as needed
- Read and follow measurements, drawings, instructions, and project plans
- Identify jobsite issues and help find practical solutions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Protect customers’ homes and property while working on residential job sites
- Work independently when given a task and communicate effectively with the team
- Perform other construction and remodeling tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Carpentry or residential construction experience preferred
- Basic carpentry skills required
- Comfortable using drills, saws, levels, tape measures, and other common tools
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, assemble, and install materials
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Able to follow instructions and work independently
- Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Comfortable performing physical work and lifting materials
- Valid driver's license preferred
