Our client is hiring a Senior Accountant to join its Client Advisory Services team. This role is a strong fit for current audit associates and senior audit associates coming from public accounting who are looking for a more advisory focused environment and regular client interaction.
The base salary is $80K-$95K plus bonus, which may be negotiable.
You will work with a diverse group of small and mid sized businesses across multiple industries. Key Responsibilities
- Support a range of client accounting advisory projects such as accounting remediations, new procedure implementations, and U.S. GAAP conversions.
- Manage month end close activities.
- Prepare financial statements for client review.
- Deliver client training on new accounting processes and principles.
- Prepare financial forecasts and KPI reports.
- Complete bank reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable including bill entry, disbursements, and vendor communication.
- Manage accounts receivable including invoicing and recording cash receipts.
- Handle payroll accounting activities.
- Process retirement plan contributions.
- Maintain sub ledgers for all balance sheet accounts.
- Provide support for business tax filings such as 1096, 1099, payroll tax, and sales tax.
- Assist with annual audits and transaction related projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, advanced degree preferred.
- CPA or CPA eligible.
- At least 2 years of accounting experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and time management skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional client service.
- Commitment to continuous learning and ongoing skill development.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
