We’re searching for a Camp Counselor who, in partnership with the Camp Leads, will
integrate into the summer camp team made of your peers throughout Right At School.
Bringing your expertise from after-school, and your passion to ensuring that children have an
amazing summer, this position is for you!
What This Role Entails
Location: The position will begin at Adeline Montessori School's current campus in Oconomowac.
PLEASE NOTE: The position will transition to Adeline's new campus in Waukesha when completed. This is estimated to be in June. Candidates should be comfortable to commuting to both the current campus and the new location once the transition has been completed.
Position Duration
The position will begin in May with online and in-person training with camps running through summer with the opportunity for hours during the 2026-2027 School Year. If you are looking for immediate employment, please refer to our Careers Page for our other available positions.
Pay: $15-18/hour dependent on education and experience
Schedule: This will be discussed in the interview process in more detail. The position will be Monday-Friday between the hours of 7AM-6PM

- Prepare materials and supplies for each camp component.
- Document attendance, incidents and other observations.
- Deliver the different Right At School camp components each day
- Excellent communication skills with a varied audience including children, parents, staff
- Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and
- Meets regularly with the Camp Lead to prepare for that day the week regarding activities
- Show an understanding of how Summer Camp differs from After School based on the
- Be a mentor and memory maker for each child every day.

Ideal Candidates Will Have The Following
- Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills
- Works well in a team environment
- Ability to lift 25lbs
- Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
- Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed
- Ability to meet state-specific requirements;
- First Aid and CPR-in-person
- Cleared tuberculosis test
- 18 years of age
- Proof of High School diploma/GED required
- Have 240 hours as assistant childcare teacher in a licensed childcare
- Have one of the following:a. 2 non-credit department-approved courses in early childhood education b. 2 credits in early childhood and one noncredit dept approved course in early childhood c. a certificate from the WI registry as a child care teacher
