We are currently looking to hire a part-time staff member for a Before-and-After-School Split Shift position within our Before and After Preschool Program.
This position is located inside the Sable Child Development Center.
Position Details-
- Work Days: Before and After Split Shift (Part-Time) Monday-Thursday 7:15 am - 9:15 am and 4:00 pm-6:00 pm and on Fridays full days 8:00 am- 5 pm. Must be able to work before and after Monday through Friday
- Site Location: 2601 Sable Boulevard, Aurora, CO 80011
- NO WEEKENDS!
- Start Date: Immediate
- Starting Wage: $20-$22 per hour (depending on years of experience and educational qualifications in a group setting)
PLEASE READ Requirements:
- 18 years old and a High School Graduate or GED
- State Licensing Requirement-Verifiable experience- 460 hrs w/ group supervising 4 or more children (not one-on-one care, nanny and babysitting do not qualify must be classroom type supervision) of school-aged children (must be in this age range -kindergarten-6th grade)in a licensed childcare location and was able to manage children without supervision; OR
- Will be able to provide a letter from a licensed childcare/school type facility showing at least 460 hours of supervising school-age children (kinder-6th grade) and three professional references that will be verified if hired
- Safety & Joy: Exhibits role model qualities ensuring safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities to a team of staff members. Supports operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date. Outlines attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensures program tasks are completed effectively. Continual coaching, fostering respectful relationships among staff to address any challenges or issues promptly to maintain team cohesion, and productivity.
- Safety Assurance: Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants. Identify and mitigate any potential risks within the program environment.
- Effective Communication: Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to support effective communication and relationship building. Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust. Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support outlined program goals and assist in implementing changes or processes as guided.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs. Ensure “name to face” attendance procedures are completed per company policy.
- Daily Routine: Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.
- Experience with working amongst competing priorities and delivering quality service to all stakeholders
- High school diploma or GED completed
- Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs
- Coursework or training in child development and/or related field
- Communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children
- Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community
- Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn

Ideal Candidates Will Have The Following:
- Works well in a team environment
- Verifiable experience- 460 hrs w/ group supervising 4 or more children (not one-on-one care, nanny and babysitting do not qualify must be classroom type supervision) of school-aged children (must be in this age range -kindergarten-6th grade)in a licensed childcare location and was able to manage children without supervision
- Experience working with children under 13 years of age is a PLUS
- Ability to lift 40lbs
- Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
- Ability to meet state-specific requirements; LIVE Scan Fingerprint, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate/ Cleared TB, CPR/FA
