Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to our clients in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients and their families, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in their home. This role requires a blend of personal care skills, patience, and empathy while working with a diverse population, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. Must be available every other weekend. Must be at least 18 years or older.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client’s quality of life.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in the client's condition.
- Help with medication reminders.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preference of the client.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events.
- Provide specialized care for clients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or developmental disabilities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care is delivered.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, assisted living, or nursing homes is preferred.
- Familiarity with first aid and CPR techniques is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs, including Dementia , Alzheimer's, Autism or developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor changes in behavior or physical condition.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality.
