Performs personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):
- Feeding
- Dressing/Shaving
- Medication reminders
- Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
- Preparing special diets
- Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
- Dressing, changing, ambulating and repositioning clients
- Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom
- Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
- Using equipment - Hoyer, sit to stand
- High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
- 6-month of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
- 1-3 years of experience as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide in healthcare (in homes or facilities)
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
- Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance preferred
- Pass a background check
- CNA or HHA license is preferred
