What You’ll Do
As our Billing Specialist (this is an in-office position), you’ll be the financial backbone of our agency — ensuring our operations run seamlessly so caregivers can focus on what matters most: our clients.
You’ll:
Process weekly billing for VA, DHHS Medicaid, LTC insurance, facilities, and private pay clients
Reconcile EVV documentation to ensure Medicaid compliance
Manage collections and account balances with accuracy and empathy
Complete payroll processing and assist employees with pay or PTO questions
Handle client billing inquiries with professionalism and care
Track Medicaid and VA authorizations, SOC, and ensure correct payer setup
Enter payments, garnishments, and journal entries in QuickBooks and WellSky
Perform reconciliations, prepare reports, and support financial audits
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting
Who You Are
2 years of billing, bookkeeping, payroll, or accounting experience
Proficient in QuickBooks (required)
Comfortable in Excel and Word (intermediate or higher)
Organized, analytical, and detail-driven — but adaptable when things get busy
A great communicator who can explain the “why” behind the numbers
Experience with healthcare billing or EVV systems a plus
Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
