Responsibilities and Duties
In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):
Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home
Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom
Preparing simple nutritious meals and snacks according to instructions
Accompanying client on errands or medical appointments
Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
Medication reminders
Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
Support clients with specialized needs such as Dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, and memory care through tailored activities and compassionate engagement
Companionship activities such as reading, music, games, puzzles, movies, arts and crafts etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
18 years or older
High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
Prior experience working as caregiver for at least one year is preferred but not required (taking care of your own family members count)
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA regulations.
Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
Reliable transportation
Pass a background check
