What You’ll Do and Who You Are:

The Lead Caregiver has a unique role with our team. If you enjoy doing something different every day and meeting new people, then this position is for you! Lead Caregivers assist with all new care starts. This means your schedule will be different week to week. You'll have the opportunity to cross-train with a variety of clients and use different skill sets. The ideal Lead Caregiver is compassionate, honest, professional, likeable, flexible, and can get along and verbally communicate with people at all levels. You don’t mind getting a little dirty … this could include (but is not limited to) assisting the patient with activities of daily living such as providing assistance with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair), ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, and other household chores.

You don’t have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.

Must Haves:

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate

• Three years experience as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (in homes or facilities)

• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job

• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care

• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job

• Reliable transportation to/from clients wherever they call home
