2nd Shift Parts Cleaner

J&J Truck BodiesTrailers is seeking a 2nd shift Parts Cleaner who is responsible for cleaning, grinding, and finishing manufacturing parts to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. This position focuses on removing sharp edges, burs, and surface imperfections while maintaining clean, production-ready components for the next stage of the manufacturing process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other job-related duties may be assigned in compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Grind, sand, or polish parts to remove burs, sharp edges, and excess materials.
• Perform deburring operations using hand tools, power tools, or grinding equipment.
• Inspect parts visually and by touch to ensure smooth edges and safe handling.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards.
• Handle parts carefully to prevent damage during cleaning and finishing.
• Support production teams by ensuring parts are prepared for assembly.
• Observes and complies with all the provisions of the ISO 9001 QMS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to use hand tools, grinders, sanders, and other finishing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Perform duties in a safe manner; always required PPE.
