J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers is seeking an Assembler/Welder who will be responsible for assembling components and performing welding tasks to produce high-quality products to meet the company's specifications. The role combines mechanical assembly with welding and fabrication, requiring attention to detail, safety, and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

- Assemble components and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Perform welding operations to join and fabricate metal parts.
- Set up, operate, and maintain tools, welding equipment, and fixtures.
- Prepare materials for assembly and welding by cutting, grinding, and cleaning as needed.
- Report defective parts, material shortages, or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Safely perform duties, always wearing required PPE.
- Observes and complies with all provisions of the ISO 9001 QMS
- Safe operation of all lifting devices, such as overhead & jib cranes and forklift trucks, when authorized & properly trained.
- Vocational/technical training is preferred, or a high school diploma or general education degree with work experience in an industrial setting is also desired.
