As a Senior Electrical Estimator, you will lead development of detailed cost estimates for major pursuits with a strong focus on data center electrical infrastructure, including power distribution, substations, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, and mission-critical integration. This role is central to our data center growth strategy, supporting hyperscale and colocation developments where accuracy, speed, and constructability-driven estimating are critical to winning and executing high-value work. The salary range is $130,000.00 - $180,000.00.

Responsibilities:
- Lead estimating efforts for large-scale data center electrical projects, including hyperscale campuses, mission-critical facilities, and phased expansion programs
- Develop detailed estimates for electrical power distribution systems, medium voltage infrastructure, substations, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and low-voltage systems common to data centers
- Utilize Accubid estimating software (Trimble Accubid) as a primary tool for electrical takeoff, pricing, and database management
- Review project requirements and coordinate with internal teams to produce accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates aligned with data center execution strategies and fast-track schedules
- Oversee bid development across multiple stakeholders to ensure complete coverage of mission-critical scope, redundancy requirements, and uptime-driven constraints
- Prepare and present proposals to clients, clearly communicating data center constructability, sequencing, and cost drivers
- Develop conceptual through detailed budgets for hyperscale and colocation data center developments
- Manage subcontractor and vendor engagement specific to data center electrical systems and long-lead equipment procurement
- Mentor estimating staff on data center means and methods, including energized work constraints, phased turnover, and critical path sequencing
- Maintain cost databases, unit pricing, and benchmarks within Accubid and related estimating systems, ensuring accuracy across repeatable data center models
- Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, subcontractors, and clients within the data center ecosystem
Education, Skills, Experience Needed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of education and electrical construction experience
- 15 years of electrical estimating and/or project management experience in industrial electrical construction
- Strong, demonstrable experience estimating large-scale data center projects (required)
- Proficiency with Accubid (Trimble Accubid) required
- Deep understanding of data center electrical systems, including:
- Medium voltage distribution
- UPS and backup generation systems
- Switchgear and power distribution
- Mission-critical redundancy design (N 1, 2N, etc.)
- Phased construction in live/critical environments
- Strong capability in cost analysis, estimating logic, and constructability evaluation for complex electrical systems
- Proficiency with MS Office and additional tools (Bluebeam, HCSS, Primavera, MS Project preferred)
- Strong communication skills with ability to present technical data center solutions to executive stakeholders
- Proven leadership in fast-paced mission-critical/data center environments
- Strong organizational ability to manage multiple large-scale data center bids simultaneously
- High attention to detail, strong commercial judgment, and ability to anticipate risks in data center delivery models
