As a Civil Superintendent you will lead and manage daily field operations for our complex heavy civil infrastructure projects across Southeastern New York. This pivotal role requires an expert in construction processes, safety regulations, and team coordination to bring design plans to reality. The salary range is $150,000.00 - $200,000.00.

Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise all daily construction activities, including self-perform crews and subcontractors
- Implement and enforce a rigorous safety culture, conducting regular site inspections, leading toolbox talks, and ensuring strict adherence to all OSHA, federal, state, and city regulations
- Coordinate crews, equipment, material deliveries, and inspections to maintain workflow and develop/update detailed project schedules to prevent bottlenecks and delays
- Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, blueprints, and design documents
- Proactively identify and resolve on-site conflicts, issues, or delays, serving as the primary point of contact for project managers, engineers, clients, and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, RFIs, and documentation for all site activities
- Supervise, mentor, and develop field team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Education, Skills, Experience Needed:
- Trade school graduate or undergraduate college degree in associated field such as construction management or engineering
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in heavy civil construction with at least 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role with demonstrated experience leading union field operations
- Proven experience with civil infrastructure projects such as utilities, excavation, earthwork, concrete structures and roads
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and specifications, understand grades, layout, surveying, and familiarity with estimating to support new bids. Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office Suite is required
- OSHA 30-hour certification required. The superintendent will need to attain the certification for NYSDEC storm water prevention plan site person which can be done online, but is not a pre-requisite for the position
- Strong leadership, organizational, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills, collaborating with clients, ethical conduct, initiative, personal responsibility/accountability with the ability to manage pressure and adapt to dynamic site conditions
