Riggs Washington DC sits on the iconic downtown corner of Penn Quarter’s 9th and F Street in a historic building once home to Riggs National Bank. Each of the Hotel’s 181 guest rooms offers a playful nod to the building’s legacy. Riggs is home to the all-occasion European brasserie-inspired restaurant Café Riggs, as well as Silver Lyan – a subterranean bar from the internationally acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr Lyan. We are on the hunt for a hospitality personality — someone who walks into a room and immediately makes it warmer. As our Assistant Front Office Manager, you'll be the calm at the center of the storm: keeping the front desk humming, the team inspired, and every guest feeling like the most important person in the building. Role of Assistant Front Office Manager: Welcome every guest with warmth, sincerity, and the kind of personalized attention that turns a check-in into a memorable moment. Supervise the daily rhythm of Front Office operations — check-in and check-out procedures, room assignments, and everything in between. Ensure the team arrives to each shift fully briefed, energized, and ready to deliver exceptional service from the first guest to the last. Anticipate guest needs before they're voiced — crafting personal, thoughtful solutions and memorable experiences along the way. Be the connector: communicate seamlessly with the Front Office Manager, Concierge, and all departments to keep the guest journey smooth. Serve as a trusted go-to resource for guests seeking local knowledge — from hidden gems to the nearest spa, you'll know Riggs' Washington DC inside and out. Step up as a leader on shift, supporting your team through busy periods with composure, humor, and a genuine can-do spirit.
