Job Summary
Rig Runner Inc. Terminal 350 is an asset based carrier dedicated to providing exceptional transportation solutions across the United States. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Dispatcher to join our team and help manage daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers for customer shipments.
- Track and monitor loads from pickup through delivery.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, billing and sales regarding shipment status.
- Schedule and resolve transportation issues proactively.
- Review customer's request, determine distance, and prepare a rate, and follow up with customer to schedule the load.
- Verify customer's required documentation.
- Provide top notch customer service. Enter loads in system and respond to emails as they come in.
- Using software to plan routes that avoid traffic, weather delays, and weight restrictions while minimizing empty ("deadhead") for route optimization.
- Handle after-hours shipment updates as needed.
- Assist with problem-solving and service recovery when delays or issues occur.
- Work with other terminals to cover loads in other areas when needed and make sure a load is created, obtaining information from them on the driver, rate, etc and preparing an email for tracking purposes as well as keep customer informed on etas, delivery, etc.
