Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting equipment to and from various locations while ensuring compliance with all regulations.. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Start your day at your designated start time.
- Must have experience driving a Semi in the mountains and CDL Class A.
- Load and unload equipment efficiently and safely, ensuring proper handling and strapping of equipment.
- Plan and follow optimal routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including pictures, inspections, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Utilize forklifts and other equipment when necessary for loading and unloading materials.
- Demonstrate to customers how to operate the equipment being delivered to them in a safe and effective manner.
- Inspect all equipment for damage at time of pick up. Document findings and submit damage information on tablet and to the Rental Counter upon return.
- Act as a representative for the company, and promote additional sales by explaining and suggesting other equipment and/or services offered. The employee may be required to gather additional knowledge and understanding of all products and services available within the company.
- Assists with the workload in other departments / branch areas when not busy doing regularly assigned tasks
- Complete all delivery/pickup assigned for that day.
- Complete additional deliveries/pickups when needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in Commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
- Strong knowledge of navigation skills.
- Ability to operate various truck types including Semi, Flatbed, and various equipment.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail in following safety protocols and regulations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
