What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floater Pharmacist position at Riesbeck Food Markets?
As a Floater Pharmacist in a Riesbeck’s Food Markets Pharmacy, you are more than just a dispenser of medication; you are a vital community health resource. You will work at the intersection of clinical expertise and exceptional customer service, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical care while fostering a welcoming environment for our shoppers. Riesbeck's has four pharmacy locations in our Ohio stores located in Bridgeport, St. Clairsville, Cambridge and South Zanesville.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret prescriptions for accuracy, drug interactions, and appropriateness of dosage.
- Provide professional consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications, potential side effects, and chronic disease management.
- Administer vaccines (Flu, COVID-19, Shingles, etc.) and maintain accurate immunization records in accordance with state laws.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns, ensuring a productive workflow and adherence to company policies.
- Maintain strict compliance with DEA, FDA, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations, including the management of controlled substances.
- Resolve insurance adjudication issues and provide a "patient-first" experience that aligns with our grocery store's brand values.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited.
· Active Pharmacist license in good standing for the State of Ohio.
· Immunization Certification and valid CPR/BLS Certification
· Strong attention to detail, multitasking in a high volume environment, and excellent verbal communications skills.
Preferred Experience
- 1 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (e.g., Pioneer RX).
- Experience with Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
- Immunization Certification and valid CPR/BLS Certification
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8–12 hours).
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
