What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Assistant/Optometric Technician position at Riemer Eyecare?

This position will be assisting in most areas of the office.
The typical week could include anywhere between 1 and 3 days per week and flexible enough to fill additional days to cover for other employees that need a personal day or take planned vacation time.
The various facets will include the following:
*Assisting the doctor in gathering data with various computerized instruments.
*Getting patient care started in the examination room.
*Making appointments.
*Answering phone calls.
*Assisting with patient care in the optical area; Helping to select fashionable eye wear and make minor repairs.
*Preparing monthly statements to patients and performing month end reports, and miscellaneous filing and paperwork.
