JOB SUMMARY:
The House DJ is responsible for creating an energetic, engaging, and enjoyable guest atmosphere across all Riemer Hospitality restaurant locations. This role provides both indoor and outdoor DJ services, enhancing the guest experience through music selection, event support, and maintaining a professional and polished presence. The House DJ plays a key part in elevating the brand’s entertainment standards and supporting special events, private functions, and peak business periods.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide high-quality DJ entertainment for all assigned Riemer Hospitality restaurant locations, including indoor and outdoor settings.
- Curate music appropriate to the venue, time of day, crowd energy, and brand standards.
- Ensure smooth transitions between playlists and live mixing to maintain a consistent atmosphere.
- Arrive prepared with updated playlists, necessary equipment (unless provided on-site), and backup audio solutions.
- Set up and break down DJ equipment safely and according to venue guidelines.
- Monitor sound levels and adjust as necessary to ensure an enjoyable guest environment and compliance with local regulations.
- Support management with music needs for themed nights, special events, or seasonal programming.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Operations teams regarding promotional events, brand-aligned music styles, and entertainment expectations.
- Maintain professionalism and a positive, engaging presence with guests and staff.
- Report equipment issues, event feedback, or entertainment needs to management promptly.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and guest service protocols.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a DJ in hospitality, nightlife, events, or similar environments.
- Strong live mixing skills and knowledge of a wide range of music genres.
- Ability to read the room and adjust music style and tempo accordingly.
- Experience performing in both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Punctuality, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to transport, set up, and operate DJ equipment safely.
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to positively represent the Riemer Hospitality brand.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift or carry equipment up to 40 lbs.
- Comfort working in varying environments including outdoor weather conditions.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Shifts may occur across multiple restaurant locations.
- Frequent evening and weekend work required.
- Exposure to loud music, crowds, and varying lighting conditions.
