RIE, located in Albuquerque, is looking for a Chemical Technician to support our plating and anodizing facility by performing chemical testing, maintaining production tanks, monitoring wastewater systems, and supporting environmental compliance and continuous improvement efforts. This is a hands-on, shop-floor role working closely with production and engineering.

- Monday–Thursday: 6:30 am – 3:30 pm
- Friday: 6:30 am – 1:30 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine wet chemistry testing (titrations, sampling)
- Make chemical and water additions to production tanks
- Document and track chemical testing and adjustments
- Monitor wastewater treatment system and assist with environmental compliance (DMRs, zinc testing, etc.)
- Support pollution prevention and waste minimization
- Assist with Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support EHS activities and problem-solving efforts
- Other duties as assigned
- Familiarity with wet chemistry and basic chemistry concepts
- Understanding of wastewater treatment and hazardous waste handling
- Experience with Lean concepts and data-driven improvements
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop-floor environment
- Proficient with Microsoft 365
- Degree or coursework in a scientific or technical field OR
- Equivalent hands-on experience, preferably in a plating or manufacturing environment
- Ability to work on the shop floor and lift up to 50 lbs
- Exposure to chemicals and coatings
- Competitive Pay -This position is targeted to start between $20.00-$23.00 dependent on experience.
