Ridpath Insurance is seeking a Commercial Account Manager to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients by providing excellent customer service, handling policy changes, processing renewals, and working directly with insurance carriers.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys building long-term relationships with clients while managing accounts across multiple states.
- Manage a book of commercial insurance accounts in VA, WV, NC, SC, GA, TN, and AL.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial clients.
- Process policy renewals, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, cancellations, and coverage changes.
- Prepare quotes and proposals for new and existing business.
- Review policies for accuracy and identify coverage gaps or opportunities.
- Communicate with insurance carriers to negotiate coverage, resolve issues, and obtain underwriting information.
- Maintain accurate client records within the agency management system.
- Assist producers with new business, renewals, and account retention.
- Deliver timely, professional service while building strong client relationships.
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (or ability to obtain shortly after hire).
- Commercial insurance experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage deadlines.
- Experience with agency management systems is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Work with commercial clients across eight states.
