Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on various vehicle systems using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and diesel engines, ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications.
- Repair and replace vehicle suspension systems, alignments, electrical systems, wiring diagrams interpretation, and vehicle transmission systems.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair techniques to complete repairs efficiently and safely.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues within automotive electrical systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks accurately, and ensure all work complies with safety standards and dealership protocols.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and the ability to interpret schematics effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain, suspension, electrical wiring diagrams, transmissions, and diesel engines.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance procedures such as alignment, transmission repair, suspension system repair, welding, and general auto servicing.
- Familiarity with multiple vehicles is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive diagnostic devices safely and efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Valid mechanic certification or relevant technical training is highly desirable.
