Our growing retina specialty practice is seeking a reliable, personable, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team part-time beginning in June.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with patients and stays organized in a fast-paced medical office.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check patients in and/or out professionally and efficiently
- Input and update patient demographics and insurance information accurately
- Verify insurance eligibility and assist with coverage-related questions
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct messages appropriately
- Schedule appointments and manage physician schedules
- Collect co-pays and maintain accurate patient records
- Maintain smooth patient flow and communicate effectively with clinical staff
- Assist with general administrative and front desk duties as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of medical receptionist experience required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy office environment
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)
- Retina or general ophthalmology experience is a plus, but not required
