Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Gas Station Attendant and Cashier, where you'll be the friendly face customers see when they visit our station. This position requires availability evenings and weekends.
Duties
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process cash, credit, and debit transactions with speed and precision
- Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries about products or services
- Restock shelves, merchandise displays, and convenience store items; ensure the station remains clean, organized, and inviting
- Maintain proper cash handling procedures, including balancing registers at shift end and reconciling sales reports
- Demonstrate phone etiquette by professionally answering inquiries and directing calls efficiently
Experience
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially within grocery stores or convenience stores
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Strong communication skills to engage with customers confidently and courteously
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, or product demos enhances your ability to create an appealing shopping environment
- Knowledge of grocery store operations is beneficial for understanding product placement and inventory management
