Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service in the fine dining environment
- Present menus, provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages, and recommend specials or wine pairings to enhance the dining experience
- Take accurate orders using advanced POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and beverages as well as our events to maximize guest satisfaction and restaurant revenue while maintaining genuine hospitality
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring proper presentation, food safety standards, and sanitation protocols are upheld at all times
- Manage guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly to foster positive guest relations and ensure repeat visits
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards consistent with health regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in fine dining restaurants or upscale cafes is highly preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable for reservations is a plus
- Strong background in customer service, serving, and guest relations within the food industry
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with culinary preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not required
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and cashiering responsibilities confidently
compensation: tipped personnel wage - hourly plus tips
