Position Overview: Ridgewood Public Schools is seeking a Special Education teacher at Glen School. The Preschool Disabilities Teacher will design and implement instruction aligned with each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP), using research-based strategies. The ideal candidate will:

- Experience working with preschool-aged students with disabilities (ages 3-5)
- Strong knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom practices
- Expertise in implementing multi-sensory and play-based instructional approaches
- Be skilled in strategic instruction and differentiated teaching techniques
- Possess behavior management training and skills
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills
- Collect and analyze student data to guide instruction and monitor progress
- Knowledge of early childhood special education regulations and IEP implementation
- Demonstrate independent initiative with his/her professional growth

Other Requirements
- New Jersey Preschool through Grade 3 Teacher Certification
- New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped Certification
- Must have experience and be well versed in special instruction
- Experience working with preschool-aged students with disabilities (ages 3-5)
- Must be skilled in strategic instruction
- Knowledgeable about progress monitoring of goals and objectives, writing PLAAFPs, and overall IEP compliance
- Skilled in strategic instruction in the NJ Student Learning Standards
- Knowledge of multi-sensory instructional strategies (structured literacy certification preferred)
- Must demonstrate independent initiative for professional growth
- Must be able to effectively communicate with teachers, parents, and administrators both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to work collaboratively and have experience maintaining harmonious relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
Salary : $70,062 - $125,242
