Looking for help on the weekends. Provide inpatients with cook to order meals while using your creativity to bake desserts and grab and go items. Must be self-motivated and dependable.

Purpose of Job
This position is responsible for performing food service duties such as light cooking, heating and serving food and operating dishwashers.
Job Functions
- Prepares food according to customer or patient requests following approved organization procedures.
- Coordinates timing of preparation in order to meet service schedules for patients and staff.
- Adheres to standardization of recipes and portion control to prevent food waste and control cost.
- Practices and adheres to safety guidelines from the State Department of Health.
- Washes dishes including pots and pans.
- Provides professional and courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 16 years old
- Basic food and culinary terms, cooking methods pertaining to food preparation
- Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
- Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
- Ability to complete basic mathematical problems
- Knowledge of modified diet food preparation
- Knife skills and small tool handling
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
- Completion of sanitation course and certification within one year of employment as cook
- Previous food service experience
- Serv/Safe certified in food safety handling and preparation
