What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nutrition Aide position at Ridgeview Medical Center Health System?
Purpose of Job
This position is responsible for assisting in food preparation and serving and maintaining a clean and sanitary condition in the kitchen and dining areas.
Job Functions
- Prepares and serves food for patients and cafeteria guests.
- Assembles and dissembles patient trays.
- Ability to perform cashier duties that include keying appropriate items for total purchase with applicable discounts.
- Washes, sanitizes and stores dishes.
- Assists with cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas.
- Practices and adheres to safety guidelines from the State Department of Health.
- Provides professional and courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Work Experience
- Must be at least 14 years old
- Previous cashier/POS experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Accurately count currency and apply credit card payments
- Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
- Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task and work independently and in a team
- Ability to complete basic mathematical problems
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in the English language and respond accordingly in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in food industry
- Previous experience in healthcare cafeteria
- Serv/Safe certified
- Customer service experience
- Previous cashier

Looking for motivated, dependable part time staff to work over the supper meal various days throughout the work week. No weekends at this time. You will be responsible for delivering meals to our orthopedic patients as well as washing dishes. A great job for students as you are done at 7pm. Start time varies between 3pm or 4pm depending upon patient census.
