We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Cook!
The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets.
Education/Experience: Must have at least two (2) years experience in quantity cooking, a basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation and possession of food service food handler’s permit as required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; and some prior kitchen supervisory experience helpful.

Compensation
This is a Full-Time, non-exempt role, and the expected compensation range is between $13.50 and $16.50/hr. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be given to experience and skill level. Join us as our Cook!
The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during service.
- Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
- Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
- Bake, grill, steam, and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods
- Present, garnish, and arrange final dishes
- Occasionally serve food
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes.
- Handle and store ingredients and food
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils
- Execute opening and closing procedures
- Set up workstations with the required ingredients and equipment
- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients
- Monitor station inventory levels
- Be able to adapt to high-pressure situations and busy service periods.
