Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strive to achieve company objectives while demonstrating company’s Mission Statement, Safety Policies, Quality Policy, and Ridgeview Principles in the performance of daily activities. Maintain a consistent flow of material and/or product throughout the plant according to material handler departmental work instructions and FIFO procedures following Governmental and/or Company Safety and housekeeping policies/procedures.
- Follow and understand all Safety policies including consistently utilizing required personal protective equipment.
- Ensure quality requirements are achieved by reading and following Quality communications, and following established process.
- Actively support safety initiatives, hazard identification, and safe material handling practices.
- Read, understand, and follow departmental instructions and company policies.
- Maintain current hi-lo and crane certification with Ridgeview Industries.
- Utilize scanner and inventory software to track materials.
- Promptly respond to pages requesting containers, WIP, purchased parts, removal of full containers, and scrap.
- Observe and support work center needs.
- Ensure all product is verified and scanned prior to movement.
- Empty scrap hoppers in the appropriate dumpsters.
- Exchange battery or propane tank when needed.
- Maintain work area cleanliness, 5’S principles, and organization of materials.
- Identify and communicate discrepancies, damaged goods, or inventory issues to leadership.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications

· High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
· Ability to read, write, speak, present information, and interpret documents in English.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
· Proficient with scanner and warehouse inventory software.
· 1-2 years experience as material handler within a manufacturing facility.
· Strong attention to detail.

· Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Good hearing and vision; including up close and strong depth perception adequate to perform job.
· Speak, hear and listen in an environment with significant background noise.
Work Environment
This position is performed in an active metal manufacturing environment. Employees work around operating machinery, moving mechanical equipment, powered industrial vehicles, overhead cranes, and heavy steel machines. The role involves exposure to elevated noise level, airborne industrial particles, vibration, temperature variations, and typical production floor activities including handling metal product that may have sharp edges
Pay: From $19.50 per hour
