RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit community mental health center based in Oak Ridge, TN, has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Psychiatric Technician (Psych Tech) with our 24 hour per day, 7 days per week inpatient unit. The ideal candidate will be motivated to provide high-quality, friendly care to our clients in a fast-paced environment. You will be scheduled for 2 8pm-8:30am shifts per week plus have the opportunity to pick up additional shifts when a need arises.

REQUIREMENTS
The Psychiatric Technician ( Psych Tech ) role requires a HS diploma or GED. Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with individuals, groups, and other team members. Must be able to be CPR and CPI certified (classes provided by Ridgeview). Valid driver’s license required and must be able to work weekends and various shifts. Must be able to respond to needs of individuals in crisis situations while maintaining a safe environment for staff and patients.
JOB DUTIES
The Psychiatric Technician ( Psych Tech ) works with other members of the treatment team in maintaining a therapeutic environment, is responsible for specific day-to-day functions, and provides patient care interventions under the supervision of the registered nurse. Responds to needs of individuals in crisis situations and maintains a safe environment for staff and patients.
