Ridgetop Construction is a family-owned general contractor serving the West Michigan area. We’re known for high-quality custom homes, pole barn construction, and trim carpentry. We're looking to add an experienced Lead Carpenter to our team to lead a small crew.

What You’ll Do

As a Lead Carpenter, you’ll take ownership of assigned jobs and lead a small crew through completion while working hands-on in the field.

• Perform and oversee residential barn framing, finish carpentry, windows and doors.
• Lead and work alongside a small crew of carpenters on active projects
• Take direction from Owners and execute projects to a high standard
• Provide daily and weekly progress updates
• Train and mentor carpenters as needed
• Evaluate workmanship and provide feedback to Owners
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional jobsite
• Represent the company well with clients through courteous and clear communication

What We’re Looking For

• Strong residential carpenter that has leadership skills or proven leadership.
• Proven ability to lead and train a small crew
• High standards for craftsmanship and jobsite organization
• Able to take feedback, problem-solve, and work as part of a team
• Professional, respectful, and client-focused attitude
• Reliable, motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks on site
• Ability to operate a skid steer a plus
