Position Summary: The Fund Accountant works directly with the assistant controller focused specifically on Ridgepost Capital funds. Responsible for the day-to-day of multiple-carried interest vehicles and close-ended investment funds and assists the corporate accounting team as needed. Will have a high-level of interaction with senior management across the organization.

This role provides meaningful exposure to fund‑level accounting, investor reporting, and coordination with internal teams and external service providers, including fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Recording monthly and quarterly journal entries, reconciling all GL accounts.
  • Preparation of financial statements, investor capital statements, and footnotes for quarterly and yearly reporting.
  • Assist with cash management, helping to determine timing of capital calls and distributions.
  • Manage online portal where all LP communication is housed and assist in updating investor contact information as needed.
  • Work alongside Assistant Controller, CFO and other team members on entity creation, reporting requirements and carried interest vesting schedules.
  • Work closely with senior management at subsidiaries to understand the different carry attributes, distribution timelines, & tax characteristics.
  • Track and analyze fund expenses, ensuring proper classification and allocation across entities.
  • Assist with investor reporting and respond to internal information requests.
  • Work closely with internal and external partners (e.g. auditors, counsel, tax administrator, etc.).
  • Collaborate cross functionally and support process improvements, ad hoc analysis, and special projects.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2 years of progressive, relevant work experience in fund accounting, public accounting with exposure to fund accounting, or a similar role.
  • Exposure to investment companies such as private equity, private credit, or other private markets strategies strongly preferred.
  • Experience in various income allocation methodologies.
  • Highly organized with strict attention to detail.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word); Investran experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfort working with senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
