Overview
Join our team as a Property Maintenance Tech/Handyman, where your skills will keep the properties we care for in top shape and ensure residents can enjoy their homes throughout the year. If you’re energetic, hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about client relations then this position is perfect for you! You’ll be responsible for performing thorough home inspections and a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks, ensuring properties are well-maintained in all aspects. A company vehicle and tools will be provided for your use during business hours.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed, routine inspections and preventative maintenance on residential "second home" properties.
- Perform general handyman tasks to keep properties in excellent condition.
- Troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Complete cosmetic repairs to enhance property appearance as needed.
- Operate hand tools while adhering to safety protocols.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance projects, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Communicate effectively with homeowners, team members, and vendors to coordinate repairs and provide excellent customer service.
- Safely drive a company vehicle within the local service area to perform scheduled maintenance visits or urgent repairs.
- Provide weekend or after-hours coverage a handful of times throughout the year.
Experience
- Proven experience in residential maintenance or construction, facilities maintenance or handyman roles with a strong mechanical background.
- Knowledge of a variety of aspects of residential construction, residential mechanical systems and/or residential A/V preferred.
- A willingness to learn all aspects of residential maintenance and the ability to retain information as it is taught.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Spanish fluency a bonus.
