Part Time Cna/Personal Care Attendant - Bilingual

Job Summary: Ridgeline Pediatric Day Health and Respite Services is searching for a qualified, loving Spanish-bilingual CNA/PCA part time for our new Red Bluff facility. We are looking for the right person to add to our small caring team. If you love children and want to help those with special health care needs then this is the place for you! The Personal Care Attendant receives all training on site to become competent in providing direct client care under the direction of a skilled nurse.

Company Overview: Ridgeline Pediatric Day Health and Respite Services is a specialized care facility for medically fragile children ages 0-22. We are looking for the right person to add to our small caring team. If you love children and want to help those with special health care needs then this is the place for you! Ridgeline was established in 2005 in Grass Valley, CA and opening its 8th facility in Red Bluff in 2025.

Facility Hours: Facility operating hours are Monday - Saturday 7AM – 6 PM. Open weekends for 24-hour respite care.

Reports To:  Director of Nursing

Qualifications:

1. Current CPR or BLS certification;
2. At least 2 verifiable references;
3. Clear criminal background;
4. Successful completion of a competency evaluation program.

Requirements: 

1. MUST be bilingual Spanish and English;
2. 1 year direct pediatric client care experience preferred but not required;
3. Ability to lift, carry, bend, walk and reach as needed to perform client care and/or transfer of client up to 50 lbs;
4. Ability to communicate effectively with other staff, clients, caregivers and the general public;
5. Must be able to undergo a health examination within 90 days prior to employment or within 7 days after employment by a person lawfully authorized to perform such a procedure or a signed waiver;
6. Must be willing to work up to 2 Saturdays a month and overnights.

Job Description:

1. Part Time - 2-3 days per week. Position is mostly afternoon/evenings and weekends with occasional overnights as needed.
2. Provide direct care services under a skilled nurse to pediatric and adult clients with special health care needs. 
3. Turn and position the client in a wheelchair or bed.
4. Assist with transfers and ambulation.
5. Feed or assist the client with oral and tube feedings, prepare meals.
6. Keep the client care area clean and free of hazards, wash laundry and change linens. 
7. Assist clients in the participation of independent and group activities.
8. Must work well in a team environment. 
9. Paid training and competitive salary.
10. Regular routine housekeeping  and deep cleaning assignments.
11. Position available immediately.

Compensation

• $18-$22 per hour depending on education and experience.
• Eligible for PTO after 90 days of employment.
• Eligible for sick pay.
