What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Counselor position at Ridgeline Counseling LLC?
About Ridgeline Counseling
Ridgeline Counseling is built on the belief that great client care starts with healthy clinicians. Our mission is to deliver compassionate, evidence-based counseling services while maintaining a practice culture that prioritizes sustainable caseloads, manageable administrative demands, and professional fulfi llment. By investing in the well-being of our team, we ensure that every client receives the focused, quality care they deserve — regardless of their background or fi nancial circumstances.
Why Ridgeline?
We’ve structured this role for the clinician who wants the clinical freedom of private practice without the isolation or administrative "grind."
- True W-2 Stability & Benefits: Unlike 1099 contracts, this role provides the security of employment.
- 2 Paid Holidays: Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day are fully paid — no work required and no impact to your earnings.
- 6 Additional Office Closures: The practice also closes for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, the Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve, giving you predictable time off throughout the year.
- Guaranteed Training Pay: We don't expect you to build a full caseload overnight. During your training period, you'll receive a guaranteed $5,000/month while you ramp up — no matter how many sessions you complete. Once you reach a full caseload of 25 sessions per week or 3 months of employment (whichever comes first), you transition to per-session compensation.
- Flexible Time Off: Need a vacation, a mental health day, or time for a personal matter? Take it. There is no cap and no accrual system — flexible time off is available from Day one. All time away is unpaid, but you have the freedom to manage your schedule without jumping through hoops.
- Schedule Flexibility: As long as you maintain your minimum caseload of 25 sessions per week, you have the freedom to structure your weekly schedule in whatever way works best for you — whether that means starting earlier, ending later, or compressing sessions into fewer days.
- Income Protection: To value your time, we implement a $50.00 No-Show/Late Cancellation fee, ensuring your earnings remain stable even when clients have scheduling conflicts.
- AI-Enhanced Documentation: We utilize SimplePractice AI Note Taker and Gemini AI to refine and format documentation, drastically reducing the time you spend on paperwork.
- Dedicated Administrative Support: We handle the "heavy lifting"—including all billing, insurance claims submission, and credentialing.
- Collaborative Environment: You aren't on an island. You will participate in internal case consultations and, starting in late 2026, coordinate care with an on-site Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

- Hours: Standard operating hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We believe in consistent weekly schedules to support work-life balance.
